Main Menu
EDGE main menu contain 3 sub-menu option:
- Game/ Homebrew Menu
- Multimedia Menu
- Setting/Misc. Menu
Entering a Sub-Menu
To choose a sub-menu, use the arrow button to select the sub-menu and the ‘A’ button to enter the corresponding sub-menu. The sub-menu can also be entered using the touch-screen function of the DS.
Returning to the Main Menu
To return to the main menu, press the ‘B’ button.
Game/Homebrew Menu
1. Switching between Game Interface Display/View Mode
You can switch between the display mode by pressing the ‘X’ button
- Explanation: The EDGE has 3 different display/View mode: “ROM View”, “File View” and “List View”.
- “ROM View” displays the game name stored inside the ROM file.
- “File View” display the file name of the ROMs.
- “List View” is similar to file view except 10 items are displayed per page instead of just 4.
2. Choosing the game files
- The top screen displays the files under the directory
- Use the ‘Up/Down’ key
for rolling, ‘Left/Right’ key for flipping. The current path and amount
of the total files will show on the top, the scroll bar will show the
location of the current file.
- The files
under the directory will be sorted by file name, the directory (DIR)
will display at the front. The (..) is the parent directory.
- The bottom screen display the details of the files and directory, the icon and title will be displayed if it is NDS/IDS game.
- Press ‘A’ button or touch screen to enter the corresponding functions or run the game, press “B” button to go back to the game menu.
Multimedia Menu
The media icon will launch the Moonshell media player application if it has been preloaded to our MicroSD card. If you wish to return to the EDGE main menu after Moonshell has been started, simply tap the icon in the upper left corner of the bottom screen and then tap RESET.MSE”. You may download the Moonshell application from the official EDGE website
Settings/Misc. Menu
The settings menu allows toggling of different LCD screen brightness (NDSL only), selection of different languages, cheat codes, the current skin and finally, booting from a slot-2 device.
